Village of Shabbona

Shabbona is a prosperous and bustling village, located 30 miles west of Aurora, on US 30, approximately 16 miles south of DeKalb and Northern Illinois University with a population of 950 residents. The village is easily accessible, located close to several interstates and state highways making it an excellent place to live, own a business, or simply spend the day shopping, dining, or enjoying the many outdoor recreational activities that our historic area has to offer.


Village of Waterman

In this original prairie town the first settlers lived in abandoned teepees before their homes were built Pottawatomie Indians lived southwest of Waterman when the first settlers arrived in 1835. Surveyed and plotted in March of 1872, the town was named in honor of Daniel Waterman, General Solicitor of the Chicago and Iowa Railroad which reached Waterman in December of 1870. Through the years, Waterman has developed many family traditions and welcomes all to share in its historic claims and family atmosphere.


Village of Lee

Lee is located on the Lee County and DeKalb County line just minutes north of US 30 and 7 minutes from I-39.  It's conveniently centered 18 minutes from Rochelle, 23 minutes from DeKalb/NIU and 26 minutes from Mendota. Lee's Norwegian heritage is evident in its street names, such as Viking Vie, Nissen Stigen and Erickson Gate. A quiet, small town atmosphere with close proximity to interstates and excellent schools makes Lee a welcoming community for all ages.
